With spring approaching, it's about time for the spring installment of the biannual Shakori Hills Grassroots Music Festival down in Pittsboro.

The spring 2015 festival will take place from April 16 to 19 and feature tons of great performers, including Big Fat Gap, Billy Joe Shaver, Bombadil, Dillon Fence, Donna the Buffalo, Driftwood, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Jim Lauderdale, Jimbo Mathus, and Willie Waston. Tickets for the festival are on sale HERE. A four-day pass is $114 in advance. Single day tickets are $27 to $44 depending on the day.

Indigo Girls & Del McCoury Band to headline spring Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival

The spring installment of the biannual Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival in Pittsboro is a little over a month away and the festival has just announced the lineup that includes two big headliners.

It will all happen on April 17-20 and will feature headline sets by folk rockers the Indigo Girls and legendary bluegrass group the Del McCoury Band. Other performers will include Donna the Buffalo, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Des Ark, Jim Lauderdale, Phil Cook and the Guitarheels, Morning Brigade, Greg Humphreys Trio, Tonk and many, many more. Tickets for the festival are on sale HERE for a variety of price points ranging from $23 (single day Thursday or Sunday ticket) to $100 (a four-day pass).

Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival announces fall lineup, Bela Fleck, Sharon Jones & more

The biannual Shakori Hills Grassroots Music and Dance Festival in Pittsboro is a staple in the Triangle, always sporting an eclectic lineup of performers. The fall festival, held this year on October 6-9, will be no different.

Some of the big names this time around are Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Donna the Buffalo, Brett Dennen, The Duhks and more. There are also many great local bands playing, including The Old Ceremony, Hammer No More the Fingers, The Tender Fruit and more. Check out the full lineup, as it stands now, below.

Tift Merritt, Arrested Development & more playing Shakori Hills

The Shakori Hils GrassRoots Festival in Pittsboro is celebrating it's ninth year in 2011, and the performers for the spring festival on April 21-24 have been announced.

Some of the featured performers include Tift Merritt, Arrested Development, The Travelin' McCourys, Donna the Buffalo, Langhorne Slim, Holy Ghost Tent Revival and Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion.

Other performers will include The Beast, Midtown Dickens, Greg Humphreys, Birds and Arrows, Mount Moriah, Gray Young and Kooley High. Check out the full list of performers below.
