New show announcements: Widespread Panic & Jason Isbell, Weezer & Panic! at the Disco, Heart, Joan Jett & Cheap Trick

A bunch of big shows were announced at the end of last week, including the first notable big shed shows of 2016, each of which features multiple performers teaming up for really big shows.

First up, jam band Widespread Panic and acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Isbell will take a big venue leap when they come to the Triangle this spring to play Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh on Saturday, April 30. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, via Live Nation for $45 to $55.

Next up Weezer and Panic! at the Disco, both with new albums out this year, will play Walnut Creek Amphitheatre on Tuesday, June 21. Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness will open. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, January 22 via Live Nation for $25 to $75. Various pre-sales will begin as early as 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19.

Jason Isbell extends 'Something More Than Free' tour

Singer-songwriter Jason Isbell just released his fifth full-length studio album on Friday titled Something More Than Free and he has extended his 2015 tour plans into the fall to include a Triangle date.

Isbell will play the Durham Performing Arts Center on Thursday, November 19. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24, via the venue box office and Ticketmaster for $39.50 to $45. The venue and Ticketmaster pre-sales will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 23.

Jason Isbell announces fall tour dates, big Durham show

Singer-songwriter Jason Isbell's popularity has been steadily increasing since the release of his acclaimed 2013 album Southeastern. After selling out two shows at the Haw River Ballroom earlier this year, Isbell will return to the Triangle for a big show during his fall tour.

He will make the leap to the Durham Performing Arts Center where he is set to take the stage on Thursday, November 6. Sturgill Simpson will open. Tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, May 31, via the venue box office and Ticketmaster for $35 to $45.

[UPDATE] Jason Isbell & Holly Williams announce winter tour

Singer-songwriter Jason Isbell released his highly acclaimed fourth album Southeastern earlier this year and in early 2014 he'll team up with Holly Williams for a short East Coast tour.

Isbell and Williams will make a stop at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw on Friday, January 17. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $20.

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit & Hayes Carll announce tour, coming to Raleigh

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have become a regular visitor to the Triangle. They were last here in October at the Casbah in Durham and are coming back this way on their spring tour with Hayes Carll.

They'll play the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh on Tuesday, April 19. Tickets for the show are supposed to go on sale via etix for $14 on Friday, January 28, but they seem to already be available now.
