Shovels & Rope announces early 2014 dates, coming to Carrboro

South Carolina duo Shovels and Rope have been taking the world by storm as their star has continued to rise since the release of their latest album O' Be Joyful. They'll keep touring hard in early 2014 which will bring them to the Triangle for a big headline show.

The band will play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Wednesday, March 5. Hurray for the Riff Raff will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 18 via Ticketfly for $14.

Shovels and Rope will also open for The Avett Brothers at their big New Year's Eve show at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster for $39.50 to $59.50.

Shovels and Rope are featured on a new compilation called Divided & United: The Songs of the Civil War due out on November 5. Check out the band's contribution to the compilation, "The Fall of Charleston," below.
