Taylor Hicks cancels Cary show

Turns out Idol Fever is a real thing after all, because last year's winner is just so darn busy he can't make it to his own engagements.

American Idol Season 5 winner has cancelled his June 28 show at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary due to "scheduling conflicts." Uh huh.

What message is a guy in a black suit with an untucked purple shirt dancing in the back of a rusted pickup supposed to send me?

Could you be more snarky?

Give the guy a break, he was scheduled for 10 shows in 12 days. Obviously somebody overbooked him. No one should be expected to do that much.

He has a new woman in his life.. give the dude a break.. he's a workaholic.

maybe, like me,
taylor doesn't know where cary is.

The guy has been performing his tail off for months.Leave the guy alone for once.He is a wonderful perfomer and doesn't deserve all the snide remarks.

Yes I could be snarkier but I restrained myself. Chill folks. I'm sure he has a perfectly reasonable explanation — just like Aretha Franklin's.

dork, the message is: "cancel cary."

Hey, the torch has been passed. Taylor is officially NO LONGER the American Idol. So it's time to move on and pick on the "new kids" on the block!

Why did Aretha cancel her show two years in a row? anyone know?

Aretha also cancelled due to "scheduling conflicts" in Cary the last two years. This year she's scheduled to play at UNC on Sept. 13...which is notably a smaller venue.

He probably had a good reason--maybe overbooking--after all the guy has just gotten off a four month grueling 55 city tour--which almost did him in--until he found his lady love--and for that I am so happy-everyone deserves love--and I think he knows what he's doing and let it go at that. I just hope the real reason isn't because he is so ticked off at the snarky fans that he really doesn't want to perform any more. That would be a waste. thank you

Taylor Hicks is scheduled to perform at Six Flags Over Georgia - Austell, GA, on June 28th. I saw him at the Ryman in Nashville. It was a great concert.
