The Avett Brothers releasing 'Live, Vol. 4' recorded in Raleigh

Continuing their ongoing series of live albums, the last of which was released in 2010, The Avett Brothers will release Live, Vol. 4 in just few weeks.

Live, Vol. 4 was recorded and filmed at the Avetts big New Year's Eve show Raleigh at the PNC Arena last year. The CD/DVD set will be released on December 18. Check out the track list below that includes two new songs from the show, "Satan Pulls The Strings" and "Rejects in the Attic."

The Avett Brothers just announced their spring tour plans and they include a return to the Azalea Festival in Wilmington on Thursday, April 7. Tickets will go on sale HERE at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 5.

The Kooks announce spring 2015 North American tour

British rockers The Kooks released their fourth studio album in the fall titled Listen and the band will cross the Atlantic this spring for a North American tour. They'll play a trio of shows in Mexico before heading north for a short series of U.S. dates.

Instead of playing the Triangle or even Charlotte, the lads will head east to Wilmington to play Ziggy's By the Sea on Thursday, May 7. Joywave and Young Rising Sons will open. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 16, via Etix for $20.

The Mountain Goats announce duo dates, heading to Wilmington

The Mountain Goats are heading out on tour in late spring/early sumer on their first tour as a duo since 2007. John Darnielle and Peter Hughes will be hitting all ages clubs on what they've dubbed the Tuttlingen Warriors Tour 2013. Though they won't be playing the Triangle, they will be playing Wilmington.

The duo will play the Soapbox in Wilmington on Friday, June 28. The Baptist Generals will open. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 12 via Etix for $18.

The pair will also play Legends at Appalachian State University in Boone on Wednesday, May 1. It's unclear whether this will be a duo show or not since it's not connected with the rest of the tour. Tickets are on sale now HERE for $12.

Hopscotch announces spring road shows in NC, VA

The Hopscotch Music Festival will announce the lineup for the big 2013 shindig on April 24 and they'll follow the announcement with six shows across North Carolina and Virginia.

The first shows will be right here in the Triangle on Thursday, April 25. There will be an early and a late show at the Nightlight in Chapel Hill. The early show will feature The Snails and The Art Department and the late show will feature Last Year's Men and The Dynamite Brothers. Tickets will be $5 at the door for each show (that goes for all of the Hopscotch road shows).

The Love Language to ring in 2012 in Wilmington

We may not have reached Thanksgiving yet, but it's certainly not too soon to start thinking about where you'll want to ring in the new year. One great option has already presented itself.

The Love Language will play a big bash in at The Soapbox in Wilmington on December 31 and they're bringing Triangle bands Last Year's Men and Gross Ghost along for the fun. Tickets are on sale now via Etix for $15 (there's an additional $5 charge for those under the age of 21).
