To complement the video of "Sweet Marie" we posted last week, check out some photos of Chatham County Line's concert in Whiteville, NC on Saturday, Feb. 6 below. There are shots of the show itself, soundcheck and some candid moments. All of the photos are by Michael Graham.

Chatham County Line currently have no North Carolina shows on the books, but keep an eye out here for info on their new album Wildwood in the not too distant future.

Video: Chatham County Line perform "Sweet Marie" in Whiteville

Chatham County Line dropped in to the small town of Whiteville, NC on Saturday night for their second annual show at the high school's auditorium. Friend of the blog Michael Graham was there to document the event and he put together a little video featuring a new song titled "Sweet Marie." The song will likely be on the band's new album Wildwood, expected to be out this summer.

The video features some back stage and soundcheck footage. Check it out below and check out photos from last year's show here.

Photos: Chatham County Line at Bowers Auditorium, Whiteville, NC

I was not able to make it down to Whiteville for Chatham County Line's show this past weekend, but our friend Michael was kind enough to drop us a few photos from the event. Check them out below.

350 to 375 people showed up for the show and about $2,000 has been raised for the arts programs of Columbus County Schools. This money will be a nice boost for the struggling arts programs of the county's schools.

Chatham County Line to play benefit for Columbus County schools

Chatham County Line will play a show in February that's very near and dear to me. They will play a little town called Whiteville, population 5,600 and my hometown. Don't know where that is? Don't worry, most people don't. It's about 45 minutes west of Wilmington and most known as pit stop on the way to the local beaches.

The show will be at Whiteville High School's Bower Performing Arts Center at 7 PM on February 7. All of the proceeds will go to benefit the four Columbus County high schools that have seen their budgets but due the awful economy. Specifically, the money will go to help the arts programs at the schools. Unfortunately in tough times, the arts are always the first programs to suffer budget cuts.

The concert is being billed as "The Concert Event of the Year for Columbus County!" and trust me it is. Nothing cool ever happens in Whiteville.

Tickets are available here for $12.50. For more info check out ccl2009.com. If you feel inclined, take a road trip and help the cause.
