Margot and the Nuclear So and So's announces spring tour, coming to Chapel Hill

Indiana indie band Margot and the Nuclear So and So's are gearing up for the release of their new album Rot Gut, Domestic on March 20 and will hit the road shortly after to support it.

The tour will stop at Local 506 in Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 14. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 10 via Ticketfly for $10.

Album Review: Margot & the Nuclear So and So's - Buzzard

After a line-up shake up, Margot & the Nuclear So and So's are back at it with a new LP, entitled Buzzard. The Indianapolis group does well with their third full-length, though it's an album that can easily get lost in the flood of today's indie rock records.

Buzzard begins with "Birds," a moderately-paced guitar-driven song that sways along, easing the listener into the record. It slides effortlessly into "Let's Paint Our Teeth Green." However, the transition happens almost too effortlessly--it ends up feeling a lot like the same song.

The Indiana band with quite the quirky name, Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, are preparing to release a new album on Sept. 21 titled Buzzard via their own label Mariel Records and distributed by Redeye Distribution (based in Haw River, NC).

With the release comes the obligatory tour, which will keep the band busy for two months this fall. The band will make a stop at Local 506 in Chapel Hill on Sunday, Oct. 3, with The Lonely Forest and Cameron McGill & What Army opening the show. Tickets are available in advance via etix for $10.
