Jenny Lewis announces spring 2015 tour

Indie rock darling Jenny Lewis will hit the road this spring in support of her latest album The Voyager, produced by Ryan Adams. She'll stop in the Triangle for a headline show in the midst of some dates opening for Adams, though he'll be skipping his old stomping ground as usual.

Lewis and her band will play the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw on Monday, May 4. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23, via Ticketfly for $25.

Jenny Lewis & Johnathan Rice announce tour, coming to Carrboro

The duo of Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice, who are also a couple, announced a new project called Jenny and Johnny not too long ago which is picking up steam.

They'll release an album titled I'm Having Fun Now soon, but a date has not been set yet on August 31(that's the art to the right there actually the album art is this). They'll spend the month of September on the road, which likely means the album will be out around the same time.

Among the new tour dates is a show at the Cat's Cradle on Thursday, September 23. Tickets for the show will go on sale via etix for $16 on Saturday, June 26.

Jenny Lewis plays to wall-to-wall crowd at the Cradle

Friday night brought California indie queen Jenny Lewis back to the Cradle. Carrboro was the band's final stop before hitting the massive Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee on Saturday.

The crowd kept piling in during the two opening acts, Farmer Dave and Deer Tick (we'll get to them later), and by the time Jenny Lewis and her band took the stage, the crowd was at capacity and then some.

Jenny Lewis adds new dates, plays Carrboro

The queen of indie rock, Jenny Lewis, will make a stop in Carrboro before playing the Bonnaroo Festival in June. She'll play the Cat's Cradle on June 12 with Deer Tick opening the show. Tickets will be $18 and are set to go on sale Friday, April 3 via etix.com.

Lewis played a sold out show at the Cradle with The Watson Twins in March 2006, but this will be her first show here in support of her latest album Acid Tongue.
