Even with the band's label, Merge Records, being based in Durham, the Triangle can't seem to get the Arcade Fire for a show. The band were last here for a short daytime show in Carrboro in 2008 in support of presidential candidate Barack Obama.The band have announced their closest show to date, but it's still about a four-hour drive. They'll play the nTelos Wireless Pavilion in Charlottesville, VA on Wednesday, June 8. Raleigh band Bowerbirds will open the show. Tickets are on sale now for $40 HERE.
