New show announcements: Bloc Party & The Vaccines, Walk the Moon & Misterwives, Old 97's & Heartless Bastards

A bunch of new Triangle shows have been announced since our last post, so let's tackle a trio of them today.

First up, British indie rockers Bloc Party just released their first new album in four years, Hymns, and will come to North America this spring. The band will play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Sunday, May 15. The Vaccines will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, via Ticketfly for $29.50.

Next up, Ohio pop rockers Walk the Moon will bring their big hit "Shut Up and Dance" to the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh on Friday, August 5. Misterwives will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, via the Duke Energy Center box office and Ticketmaster for $25 to $45.

And lastly, southern rockers Old 97's and Heartless Bastards will team up for a tour that will bring them to Cat's Cradle on Sunday, May 8. B.J. Barham of American Aquarium will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, via Ticketfly for $25.
