The Rolling Stones announce summer tour, coming to Raleigh

Rock legends The Rolling Stones will head out this summer on a North American tour that will see the aging group come back to the Triangle for the first time since 2005, and back to Raleigh in particular since 1994.

The band will play Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh on Wednesday, July 1. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 13 via Ticketmaster for $69.50 to $350. A presale for Amex card holders will begin April 8.

[UPDATE: The Avett Brothers have been added as the opening act for the show.]

The Stones will reissue their classic 1971 album Sticky Fingers on May 26 with bonus material and previously unreleased outtakes and live recordings.
