Local indie superstars Superchunk will release their tenth album, I Hate Music, tomorrow and will be celebrating with a free show/party in Durham dubbed I Hate Happy Hour.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, at The Pinhook in Durham. It will serve as a introduction of Jason Narducy as Superchunk's new touring bassist and Laura Ballance will be there tending bar and making a special signature cocktail.

Admission for the event is free but you will need a ticket to get in. You can get one tomorrow at local record stores All Day Records, CD Alley, Offbeat Music, Bull City Records, Nice Price Books and Schoolkids Records. You can also follow Merge on Twitter for chance to win tickets and there will also be a limited number of tickets available at The Pinhook at 6 p.m.

All four members of Superchunk will be at All Day Records, CD Alley, Offbeat Music and Bull City Records at noon on Tuesday to sell copies of I Hate Music and give away tickets to I Hate Happy Hour.

And last but not least, Superchunk has released a new music video today for the catchy "Me & You & Jackie Mittoo." It features images of people holding copies of their favorite albums over black and white footage of a snowy weather. It's a bit odd but really cool. Check it out below.
