With the 2013 Hopscotch Music Festival two weeks away, the festival has just unveiled this year's day parties which are free and will be going on during the day before the festival officially gets started each night on September 5-7. There are also a few events before and after the festival on September 4 and 8.
This year's slew of parties features sets by Valient Thorr, I Was Totally Destroying It, The Invisible Hand, Shirlette Ammons, Des Ark, Onward Soldiers, Spider Bags, Jack the Radio, Jenks Miller Band, The Tender Fruit, Mandolin Orange, Doug Paisley, Chris Stamey and the Fellow Travellers, Lonnie Walker, Schooner, Kingsbury Manx, Jamaica Queens, Estrangers, Loamlands, Some Army and many, many more. Check out our easy to read schedule HERE.
This year's cultural series has also been announced and will certainly include some insightful discussions about the the current state of the music business and creating music in an ever-changing world. Those panels at the City of Raleigh Museum are included on our schedule.
We'll see you at the festival in a few weeks and be sure to check back regularly for reviews and photos as soon as Hopscotch gets going (you can follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook for the latest coverage).
