Blink 182 & My Chemical Romance announce 2011 tour, coming to Charlotte

Goofy pop punkers Blink 182 are planning to release their first new album since 2003 sometime this summer, but they've already signed on to the 2011 Honda Civic Tour along with alt rockers My Chemical Romance.

Unfortunately, the tour will skip the Triangle, but for fans that are up for a drive, the bands will hit Charlotte's Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on September 20 and the Virginia Beach Amphitheater (which is now apparently called Farm Bureau Live) on September 19. Matt & Kim will open both shows. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on June 10 via the usual places.

Projekt Revolution comes to Walnut Creek

Since the Vans Warped Tour is skipping Raleigh this year, the closest thing to it will be the newly announced Projekt Revolution Tour.

The tour will feature two stages. The main stage performers will be Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM and Julien-K. The smaller stage, dubbed "The Revolution Stage," will feature Mindless Self Indulgence, Saosin, The Bled, Styles of Beyond and Madina Lake.

The Projekt Revolution Tour will stop at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre on Monday, August 13 as well as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Wednesday, August 8.
