The Rosebuds ambush Jackpot crowd with a short set

As we sat and waited for The Rosebuds surprise show at The Jackpot in Raleigh, we were starting to wonder how the show was going to go down. And then suddenly, we see Ivan and Kelly walk through the doors, playing "Silja Line," accompanied by two cameramen and a sound guy.

The small crowd gathered around to hear a five-song set acoustic set by the band that was being filmed as a part of the XX Merge festivities. The set included songs from all four of the band's full-length LPs and closed with a cramped dance-along to "Bow to the Middle."

As for the footage, it's unclear right now what the end product will be, but whatever it is certainly won't be able to match the energy and fun in the small room at Jackpot.
