The Darkness announces North American spring tour

Over-the-top British rockers The Darkness released their third full-length album Hot Cakes last August and the band will be coming to the States this spring in support of it.

The band will make a stop at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh on Friday, May 10. Free Energy will open. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, March 9, via Etix for $22.

Fitz and the Tantrums announce new 2013 headline dates

Pop soul band Fitz and the Tantrums will be releasing their sophomore album More Than Just a Dream on May 8 and have already announced big summer tour plans as the opening act on Bruno Mars arena tour. The band have just rolled out some headline shows for the spring which will bring them back to the Triangle.

The band will play the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw on Saturday, April 13. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, via Ticketfly for $22.

The Smashing Pumpkins announce spring dates, coming to Raleigh

Billy Corgan and the current incarnation of The Smashing Pumpkins will hit the road this spring to play a few U.S. shows in support of their latest album Oceania, released last year.

The band will return to Raleigh (they played Memorial Auditorium in 2008) to play a bigger venue, the Red Hat Amphitheater, on Tuesday, May 7. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, via the Progress Energy Center box office and Ticketmaster for $25 to $49.50.

Har Mar Superstar announces spring tour, coming to Raleigh

Singer-songwriter Sean Matthew Tillmann, better known by the stage name Har Mar Superstar, is releasing a new album on April 23 titled Bye Bye 17 and he'll be hitting the road this spring to support it.

He'll play Kings Barcade in Raleigh on Thursday, April 11. Tickets are on sale now via Etix for $8.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band extends the Rock and Roll Never Forgets Tour

Classic rock icon Bob Seger has extended his Rock and Roll Never Forgets Tour further into the spring  and among the new dates is a stop in the Triangle.

Seger and The Silver Bullet Band will play the PNC Arena in Raleigh on Saturday, April 27. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, via the arena box office and Ticketmaster for $65 or $85.

The tour just kicked off on Wednesday night in Toledo, OH. Check out the performance of "Like a Rock" from the show below.
