Eric Church, Willie Nelson, The Roots, Modest Mouse, Sheryl Crow & more playing new Raleigh festival

The Triangle is getting another big festival to add to the calendar along with the Hopscotch Music Festival, World of Bluegrass festivites, and Moogfest coming next year.

This fall the first American Roots Music & Arts Festival will come to Walnut Creek Amphitheater on October 17 and 18 featuring an eclectic lineup. Country superstar and North Carolina native Eric Church will headline both nights and the rest of the lineup includes Willie Nelson, The Roots, Modest Mouse, Sheryl Crow, Warren Haynes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grace Potter, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Chris Stapleton, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon and Greensky Bluegrass. More performers will be announced later.

Tedeschi Trucks Band & Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings announce 'Wheels of Soul' summer tour

Tedeschi Trucks Band and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will team up this summer on the Wheels of Soul tour that will take them to amphitheaters across the U.S.

One of the stops on the tour will be at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Saturday, July 18. Doyle Bramhall II will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27, via the venue box office and Etix for $44.50 or $75.

The Black Crowes & Tedeschi Trucks Band announce summer tour

Blues rock groups The Black Crowes and the Tedeschi Trucks Band are joining forces this summer to hit amphitheaters across on the east coast.

The pair will make a stop at the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh on Tuesday, July 23. The London Souls will open. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 12, via the Duke Energy Center box office and Ticketmaster.

The Black Crowes just released a four-disc live collection titled Wiser for the Time in March. Check out "Under a Mountain" from the collection below.

Tedeschi Trucks Band announces summer tour, coming to Durham

The Tedeschi Trucks Band, the funky, bluesy group featuring the husband and wife duo of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, are preparing to release their debut album Revelator on June 7. The band will hit the road this summer to support the record.

They'll play the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) on Sunday, June 12. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, May 7 at noon starting at $25.
