Anvil announce 2010 headlining tour, play Charlotte

On the heels of their new found success after the release of the documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, the Canadian band are set to hit the road on a headline tour in early 2010. Unfortunately, the tour won't stop in the Triangle, but it will stop in Charlotte at the Fillmore on January 19. Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, October 9 at 10 a.m. here. A pre-sale begins today, October 6 at 10 a.m. here too.

The documentary will be released on DVD today, October 6. I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but it looks excellent and is at the top of my Netflix queue. Check out the film's trailer and the complete tour schedule after the break.
