Lou Barlow's new album Goodnight Unknown is due out on October 6 via Merge Records and now we have some insight into the making of the album. Barlow and Merge have released a 30-minute documentary focusing on the work that went into producing the album narrated by Barlow. It's a fascinating insight into the process including talk about gear, songwriting balancing life and work and other things. It's well worth a watch. On top of that, Barlow has released the first video from Goodnight Unknown for the song "Don't Apologize." It's an intriguing mix of live performance and animation featuring a praying mantis in a doll house. It's pretty cool. Merge will make a new music video available each week on their newly launched LooTube page.
