The crowd has grown considerably over Mead's last three performances in Raleigh, from just a dozen or so a year ago to the crowd of 40+ that showed up last night. Keep an eye out for future performances, he usually pops into town every four months or so.
Though I would still love to see him with a band — you have to go to Nashville, New York and Boston to do that — Mead never fails to put on a great show.
Opening was Cole Guerra, a performer from Durham who also happens to have a new album out, Scarves and Knives. Check him out at www.myspace.com/coleguerra.
