Quirky prog rock trio Primus will hit the road this summer to tour the U.S. with support from indie rock power trio Dinosaur Jr.
The tour will come to the outside stage at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh on Saturday, July 18. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 3, via Etix for $35.
Veteran rockers Dinosaur Jr. are hitting the road this June to play their classic 1988 album Bug in it's entirety. The U.S. portion of the tour includes just eight dates and will conclude right here in the Triangle.
They'll play the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Monday, June 27. Henry Rollins will interview the band live onstage and L.A. punk band Off! Mac McCaughan (of Superchunk and Portastatic) will open the show. Tickets are on sale now via etix for $25.

Dinosaur Jr. have announced a big club tour that will kick off on April Fool's Day. The band will be test driving some new songs from an album they plan to release later this year via Jagjaguwar. Everyone who buys a ticket for the tour will receive a free 7" vinyl or a digital download of two tracks recorded for Pitchfork.tv, one new song "I Don't Wanna Go There" and one old song "Tarpit." The tour will stop at the Cat's Cradle on April 27 and tickets are on sale now via etix.com for $24. Mike Watt and The Missingmen will open the show.
