Record Store Day releases aplenty, The dB's, Superchunk, Ryan Adams, Polvo & more

Record Store Day is back this weekend, Saturday, April 16, and will be celebrated with tons of exclusive releases from bands big and small.

First, you need to know where to go. There are a number of local stores celebrating this year including Schoolkids Records and Edwards McKay Used Books and More in Raleigh, Bull City Records and Offbeat Music in Durham, CD Alley in Chapel Hill and All Day Records in Carrboro. Not all stores will carry each release, so check with the store before seeking out a particular item.

Now onto the releases. The dB's will be releasing a 7" vinyl teaser of their new album due out in 2012. The 7" will feature the song "Picture Sleeve" and "Write Back."
