She & Him releasing a Christmas album in October

The pop duo She & Him, comprised of Zoey Deschanel and M. Ward, will release a Christmas album in this fall. It's titled A Very She & Him Christmas and will be released on October 25 via Merge Records.

The album will feature a bunch of classic holiday tunes including "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Sleigh Ride" and even The Beach Boys' hit "Little Saint Nick." Check out the full track list below.

Warren Haynes Band announces fall tour, coming to Durham

Asheville born southern rock guitarist and Gov't Mule founder Warren Haynes is hitting the road this fall with his band in support of his latest solo album Man in Motion, released in May.

The Warren Haynes Band will play the newly renovated Carolina Theatre in Durham on Thursday, October 13. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster for $29 to $39.

Wale announces The Ambition Tour, coming to Raleigh

Up and coming Washington DC based rapper Wale is gearing up to release his sophomore album the fall titled Ambition. The album will be out on November 1, but the tour supporting it will kick off in early October.

The tour will bring Wale to the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh on Thursday, October 20. Tickets will go on sale via etix on Friday, September 9 for $14.50. There are also a series of deluxe ticket options available via Wale's website which include meet and greets, shirts and other extras.

Hopscotch 2011: Interview with Future Islands

Greenville natives Future Islands may have relocated to Baltimore for the long term, but their move doesn't mean they've lost their love for the Old North State. They return to the Triangle this Saturday, performing at the Lincoln Theater as a part of the Hopscotch Music Festival. Frontman and vocalist Sam Herring took the time to talk to Triangle Music about the band and its upcoming new album.

Triangle Music: The big reason why we’re doing this is in preparation of the Hopscotch festival. Who are you looking forward to seeing there?

Sam Herring: Oh, man. I kind of need to pull up the whole list. Of course, I’m really excited about seeing The Flaming Lips. I’ve never gotten to see them play. William has been a big fan since he was maybe in the eleventh grade or so, so he’s seen them four or five times, and Gerrit has seen them once before. Him, his girlfriend, and William took a trip to Raleigh to see them. They played The Ritz, I don’t know if that’s even there anymore. Or maybe it was the Disco Rodeo or something that they played. They went and saw them play, but I’ve never seen them. I’m really excited, I also get to be on a panel with Wayne Coyne to speak about music. I guess I don’t know exactly what we’re going to be talking about. I’m excited to meet him.

New music from Megafaun - "Get Right"

As if we need to remind you, the release of Megafaun's new self-titled album is drawing very close. It will be out on September 20 via Hometapes.

After sharing "These Words" and "State/Meant" with you, there is now a third song for you check out. It is the eight and a half minute laid back rocker "Get Right." Stream the song below or download it from Spin Magazine, who compared it to the Grateful Dead.

The band are in the midst of a European tour, but will return home for a U.S. tour which kicks off at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Thursday, September 22. Tickets are available via etix for $12. Perry Owen Wright will open the show.
