M83 announces fall tour, coming to Raleigh

French electro-pop band M83 haven't toured in about two years, but they are prepping the release of a new album and will hit the road this fall. The album details haven't been announced yet (see update below), but a teaser has hit the web called "Echoes..." which you can watch below.

The tour will stop at Kings Barcade in Raleigh on Saturday, October 29. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, July 12 via etix for $15. Pre-sale tickets are available now via the band's website for $15. There is a limit of two per person.

Fruit Bats & Vetiver announce fall dates, coming to Durham

Indie pop band The Fruit Bats and Vetiver are teaming up this fall for a tour in support of new albums. Vetiver released The Errant Charm in June and The Fruit Bats will release Tripper on August 2.

The bands will play Motorco Music Hall in Durham on Saturday, September 17. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, July 7 via etix for $12.

Cut Copy announces fall tour with Washed Out, coming to Carrboro

Australian electro-pop band Cut Copy released their third full-length album Zonoscope in February, and are preparing a new North American tour this fall in support of it with the southern experimental musician known by the moniker Washed Out.

That tour will come to the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Tuesday, September 27. Midnight Magic will round out the bill. Tickets will go on sale soon via etix for $25.

Widespread Panic announces fall tour, two nights in Raleigh

Widespread Panic are hitting the road this fall on a hefty tour, though this year, they're playing smaller venues that their usual larger haunts.

Instead of playing Walnut Creek this time around, they're playing two nights at the Raleigh Amphitheater in downtown, which is about a fourth of the capacity. The gigs are on September 23 and 24. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 8 via the usual sources including the Progress Energy Center box office.

The band will also be spending New Year's Eve in Charlotte at the Time Warner Cable Arena. Details for the show are not available yet.

The Low Anthem announces new dates, coming to Chapel Hill

Experimental folk band The Low Anthem are returning to the Triangle this September after opening for Mumford & Sons in Raleigh in June.

This time the digs will be much more intimate, as the band will be playing the cozy Local 506 in Chapel Hill. Tickets will go on sale via etix soon for $13.
